Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks succeed periods of air raids in the territory, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
