Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions β€” And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions β€” but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 β€” especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
